And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

Genesis 28:22

Since Pastor Deon Hayes’ childhood, God has had a vision for his future. In the summer of 2006, that vision was revealed to Pastor Hayes in the form of One Vision Worship Center. Sometime between 1999 and 2000, God revealed the name One Vision to Pastor Deon Hayes. This name signified that Pastor Hayes had to let his own personal vision fall to the waist-side and pursue the vision of God in order to be successful.

On August 20, 2006 in obedience to God’s vision, Pastor Deon Hayes preached One Vision Worship Center’s first church service in the conference room of the Holiday Inn Hotel located at 3231 Norman Ave., Joliet, IL. The sermon for this monumental event came from Genesis 18:13 with the theme “Laugh Now But You’ll Praise Me Later.” In this lesson from the Bible, God told Abraham that his wife Sarah was going to bear a child. Sarah laughed because she knew she was old in age. However, age meant nothing to God. During this first of many outstanding lessons to come, Pastor Hayes pointed out that the Bible said that Sarah laughed within herself, meaning that it was not vocalized but instead a private laugh within herself that God heard. It demonstrated that man’s most private thoughts are heard by God and there is nothing that can be kept from Him. Pastor Hayes’ first lesson demonstrated how at some point in time he too may have laughed when God revealed that he was going to pastor a church. However, no one would know it by the way he is praising God now!!

As a result of Pastor Hayes’ faithfulness to God’s vision, the church and the people in it have experienced success in every aspect. People have been healed, delivered, and set free by the power of God and His life-changing ministry.
